About

What is sssh.red?

sssh.red is a no-account URL shortener that turns a long HTTP or HTTPS address into a compact, randomized link that is easier to share. New links normally use three lowercase letters or numbers, with an automatic four-character fallback after repeated collisions.

How do I use sssh.red?

    1. Enter the destination: Paste the long URL into the "Your URL" field and select "Shred URL."
    2. Complete verification: Cloudflare may ask you to complete a human-verification step.
    3. Safety screening: The destination is checked against service rules and Google Web Risk before a short link is published.
    4. Share: Copy the short URL or create a downloadable QR code. Randomized links are scheduled to expire one year after creation.

Are short links private?

No. Short links and their QR codes are publicly accessible and can be guessed or discovered. They are conveniences for sharing, not passwords or access controls. Do not shorten private destinations containing access tokens, password-reset links, signed query strings, or other secrets.

What can I do to help?

Use sssh.red responsibly, report abusive links through the Help page, and share the service with people who need a simple temporary link shortener.
